In a recent blog post, I made the case for TRUE writing in the classroom. Some of my points include giving students choice in their writing, calling for an end to “formula writing,” and providing several opportunities for kids to TRULY write in our classrooms so they can become better thinkers, and, in turn, better writers. I also promised more writing tips, strategies, and graphic organizers, and I are busy adding them here, in the Writing Resources. For easy reference, the Writing Resources categories are listed below, in alphabetical order.
I will be adding more prewriting graphic organizers, tips, and strategies as I can. If you have any tried-and-true writing ideas, activities, tips, etc., I’d love to hear about them and share them. Or, if you have specific questions or requests for Writing Resources, please don’t hesitate to ask. Email Bailey at email@example.com to add to the Writing Resources.
